Home-owner Terms
The booking is for bed and breakfast in a private residence.
The owner shall reserve the rooms of the property for the exclusive use of guests in accordance with the contract during the period beginning the 1st day of June, 2010 and ending on 18th July 2010. All the rooms specified in this agreement are reserved for the full period as mentioned above even if not all the rooms are fully booked or booked at all for the whole period. The owner shall not have the right to change the number of rooms without prior consent.
The owner undertakes to clearly mark the rooms and mark all private areas in which the tenant will not have any access. The living rooms and kitchen must be available to the tenants at all times as well as all entertainment areas i.e. swimming pool, television etc.
The owner must provide a full South African breakfast for each tenant on a daily basis. Breakfast must be to a similar standard as a full English breakfast. Breakfast is included in the price of the booking. Any other services can be negotiated with the tenant directly. Bedding, towels, soap and shampoo must be provided by the owner and are also included in the price.
Any reference to a bathroom will be at least a bathroom fitted with a shower or a bath.
Full payment will be made at the end of the accommodation stay, provided the owner has fulfilled all his/her obligations.
The agent or the property management company will under no circumstances be liable to the owner for any action or any loss or damage caused by any tenant of whatsoever nature. The owner will at all times be responsible for the appropriate maintenance and proper functioning of all items of equipment, furniture etc. during the reservation period. The owner undertakes to deal with all reasonable complaints forthwith by the tenants and indemnify the agent or the property management company of any claims in this regard.
The owner hereby warrants that it carries appropriate insurance.
The performance of this agreement is subject to force majeure and any unforeseen circumstances. In such a case this agreement will lapse and become null and void.
The guest cannot get access to the property before 2pm on the check-in date and must vacate the property before 12pm on the date of departure.
The guest will be handed a key to allow 24 hour access.
The owner must provide accommodation which reasonably ensures guests safety and security.
